Die interdisziplinäre und international ausgerichtete Reihe zielt auf den Transfer ukrainerelevanten Wissens zwischen verschiedenen Bereichen und Fachrichtungen ab. Sie adressiert die komplexen gesellschaftlichen, sozialen, politischen, kulturellen Prozesse und Phänomene im Kontext von Übergängen, Widersprüchen und Ambivalenz, wie sie verdichtet und vielfältig in der Ukraine zu beobachten sind. Neben Geschichte, Gegenwart und transnationaler Kontextualisierung der Ukraine fokussiert die Reihe insbesondere die Herausforderungen infolge des russischen Angriffskriegs und des EU-/NATO-Beitritts der Ukraine. Dabei sollen ein differenziertes Ukraine-Bild vermittelt und die deutsch-ukrainischen Beziehungen gestärkt werden.

The interdisciplinary and international series aims to transfer knowledge relevant to Ukraine between different fields and disciplines. It addresses the complex societal, social, political, and cultural processes and phenomena in the context of transitions, contradictions, and ambivalence, as they can be observed in concentrated and diverse form in Ukraine. In addition to the history, present situation and transnational contextualization of Ukraine, the series focuses in particular on the challenges arising from the Russian war of aggression and Ukraine's EU/NATO accession. The aim is to convey a differentiated picture of Ukraine and strengthen German-Ukrainian relations.
