Die Beiträge zur Angewandten Ethik veröffentlichen Studien, in denen die Prinzipien der Normativen Ethik zur Lösung aktueller Probleme in verschiedenen Lebensbereichen herangezogen werden, vor allem in Medizin, Ökologie und Ökonomie. Diese ethischen Prinzipien sind jedoch jeweils kritisch zu hinterfragen, und weil dabei Wert auf strenge Wissenschaftlichkeit gelegt wird, sind in diesem Kontext auch metaethische Überlegungen unerlässlich.
