Feminist perspectives are not only part of the self-image of integrative sciences but are now firmly anchored in discourses in the humanities and social sciences. In recent years, feminist-oriented research projects have also been funded, positions established and disciplines developed in philosophy and theology in the German-speaking world. At the same time, initiatives identified as feminist have repeatedly experienced a socio-politically and religiously motivated backlash, insofar as they have been explicitly or subtly discredited. The series of publications Feminisms. Positions and Perspectives aims to promote the visibility of systematically oriented philosophical and theological monographs and anthologies which, in their elaboration of feminist theses, encourage an epistemologically nuanced and ethically committed formation of judgement and thus strengthen constructively critical contemporaneity.
