englischOnline adblockers have kept German courts and legal literature busy for years. The discussion peaked when the German Federal Court rendered ist decision „Adblocker II“ in 2018. While this judgment clarified the legal situation with regard to unfair competition law, there are still several unsolved legal issues, in particular with regard to copyright and antitrust law. The assessment of the legal situation requires thorough technical and economical understanding, which is given in this work. This work aims at putting the various legal problems and opinions into a logical system as well as evaluating the problems and opinions in a larger legal context.
