englischThe study focuses on the legal instruments of Abzweigung, Überleitung, Aufrechnung (offset), Verrechnung, Übertragung (assignment), Verpfändung (pledge) and Pfändung (attachment) regulated in the general part of the German Social Code (SGB I); the object of "external access" is always an entitlement to social benefits in cash. The instruments are classified in the legal system and functionally analyzed. In the process, the concept of “Disposition” is developed as a unifying characteristic. Numerous problems of substantive and procedural law are resolved. From a constitutional point of view, the evaluation takes into account the humane minimum subsistence level. Finally, the study is devoted to the question of how to treat opposing accesses.
