englischThe dissertation deals with the question of jurisdiction with respect to corporate cross border litigation in the European single market. The topic has a high practical relevancee. Due to the far-reaching mobility of companies in the single market, there is an increasing need to be able to conduct corporate litigation in a legally secure manner. The dissertation concludes that Art. 24 No. 2 EuGVVO aims at a synchronisation between jurisdiction and applicable law. The author specifies the synchronism based in European law according to material aspects of law. For this purpose, the author makes use of the principle of equal treatment under company law, which he places as a general legal principle at a European level. Finally, the author qualifies the alternative connection of the general place of jurisdiction in Art. 4 para. 1 read in conjunction with Art. 63 para. 1 EuGVVO as an unjustified restriction of the freedom of establishment.
