englischInvestment brokerage and advice platforms, such as crowd-investing platforms and robo-advisors, are innovative forms which raise new legal questions and test conventional legal ways of thinking as well as traditional legal rules. The research paper examines the complicated legal structure of investment broking and advice platforms with regard to the legal requirements in civil, supervisory, and telecommunication law.

Contrary to the academic discourse, the book does not only examine the relation of several fields of regulations, but ascertains the legal structure in its entirety, so that a general picture is visible.

Within the book, a main emphasis is put on areas of tension which arise due to the fact of norm conflicts, collision of judicial principles of law and divergence of terminology. Taking up these findings and inspired by French law, the author discusses more effective alternatives for the regulation of these platforms.
