englischThis volume documents the papers presented at the comparative law conference on self-responsibility in criminal law at the University of Innsbruck. It focuses on the legal relevance of the victim's voluntary contribution to the perpetration of the offence in question from the point of view of mitigating the liability of the alleged offender. The contributions show the main strands of the current academic debate, which focuses on offences in the field of occupational safety and similar areas involving close interaction between perpetrators and victims. The divergent solutions in Germany, Austria and Italy are due to different paternalistic legal principles, which need to be critically questioned in this context.

With contributions by

Cornelius Prittwitz, Uwe Murmann, Klaus Schwaighofer, Luigi Cornacchia, Ombretta Di Giovine, Gabriele Civello, Enrico Mario Ambrosetti, Vincenzo Militello, Salvatore Dovere, Donato Castronuovo, Antonella Massaro, Kolis Summerer, Silvia Tordini Cagli, Margareth Helfer and Mauro Ronco.
