englischThe aim of health promotion is a controversial issue, especially when pursued by state action. On the one hand, many people demand political measures, especially regarding health inequities. On the other hand, health promition is often deemed paternalistic and hence rejected by many citizens.

This anthology collects contributions on normative aspects of public health from different disciplines. It scrutinises and illuminates relevant topics and issues but also establishes differences and similarities between different disciplinary perspectives. The volume includes articles by philosophers, medical ethicists, legal scholars, epidemiologists and social scientists.

With contributions by:

Frank Lehmann, Siegfried Geyer, Stefan Huster, Holger Kilian, Petra Kolip, Andreas Mielck, Oliver Rauprich, Oliver Razum, Harald Schmidt, Volker H. Schmidt, Thomas Schramme, Stephanie Stock, Kristin Voigt
