englischFor the first time, the hitherto mostly unexplored philosophical elements of the “jurisprudence of interests” are presented as a whole and Heck's work is analysed in depth from this specific point of view. To this end, the presentation begins with Heck's answers to the questions whether it is possible to gain knowledge and what role concepts play in the process of gaining knowledge. Subsequently, Heck’s answers form the basis for the presentation of Heck's theory of law as well as for his theory of legal interpretation. The study also contributes to legal methodology in general, as it is able to shed more light on the epistemological references of legal interpretation.
