englischThe first centuries on the Iberian Peninsula are marked by cultural diversity, which also encapsulates legal regulations. During the periods of Roman rule (218 BC to 476 AD), the Visigothic kingdom (Toledo 554-711) and the Islamic invasion, there were regulations on the distribution and protection of water, as it was perhaps the most important commodity available at those times. At present, there is a lack of detailed research into 'public law' legislation on the access to, and use and protection of water during these periods. Therefore, the first volume in this series focused on the emergence of a 'right to water'. This second volume deals with the further development of water law, as influenced by different legal cultures.

Die ersten Jahrhunderte auf der iberischen Halbinsel sind gekennzeichnet von einer kulturellen Vielfalt, die auch rechtliche Regelungen anbetrifft. Beginnend mit der Römischen Herrschaft (218 v. Chr. Bis 476 nach Chr.), gefolgt von dem Westgotenreich (Toledo 554-711) und der islamischen Invasion finden sich zu allen Zeiten Regelungen über die Verteilung und den Schutz des Wassers, als einem der wichtigen, wenn nicht dem wichtigsten Lebensgut. Derzeit fehlt es an einer detaillierten Forschung der "öffentlich-rechtlichen" Gesetzgebung über den Zugang, der Nutzung und dem Schutz des Wassers in diesen genannten Zeiträumen. Daher wurde zunächst die Entstehung eines "Wasserrechts" erforscht. In diesem zweiten Band geht es um die Fortentwicklung des Wasserrechts, beeinflusst durch unterschiedliche Rechtskulturen.
