Description
Organised crime (OC) is one of the most prominent phenomena in modern criminal law today, both nationally and internationally. Despite its relevance to criminal policy, the concept of OC in Germany remains vague in both theory and law. This study provides a systematic and legal analysis of the German concept of OC, identifies weaknesses in its definition and highlights areas where adjustments may be necessary. On this basis, a proposal for a new definition of the term is developed that is also extremely practical. This work is aimed at academics, practitioners and decision-makers in the field of criminal and security law.
