"Revelation" is a key concept of the three monotheistic world religions, but also of a philosophy that remains aware that its first task is to think about what is being given. Phenomenology, which has in Jean-Luc Marion its best-known living representative, reflects about what shows itself, as it presents itself from itself, and thus invites us to think and to answer. The basic structure of the gift, described by Marion as a saturated phenomenon, is related to the phenomenon of revelation in his mature work. Marion's book "D'ailleurs, la révélation. Contribution à une histoire critique et à un concept phénoménal de revelation" is published here for the first time in German.
