Entstehungsnischen des Deals vor 1982

The article by Detlef Deal published over 40 years ago in 1982 made the until then practised but undiscussed plea bargaining well known. The developments of this phenomenon are now largely in the dark. The author, a judge, illuminates this darkness, uses the methodology of expert interviews and thus creates a foundation oriented study that takes a look back into the "niches of origin" and the recent history of criminal law as an important building block for understanding today's legal situation, the reality of proceedings and the needs of practice then as now, and equally recommendable for judges, prosecutors and defence lawyers.
