Schriftliche Schiedsverfahren

The thesis deals with the written conduct of arbitral proceedings. In this context, various approaches to the organisation of written arbitral proceedings are presented, the exclusion of oral hearings and the limitation of evidence are dogmatically examined, and the enforceability of arbitral awards based on written arbitral proceedings is considered. Reference is made to English law and common arbitration rules such as those of the DIS, LCIA, LMAA or GMAA. The work is not only an academic stimulus, but is also intended to encourage practitioners to expedite arbitration proceedings.
