Das Jahrzehnt von 2010 bis 2020 zeigt sich im Rückblick als eine Krise des humanen Fortschritts. An sechs Ereignissen belegt der Autor diese These mit Blick auf die besondere Rolle Europas:

• dem Ukraine-Konflikt,
• dem Brexit,
• der Natur als Politikum,
• dem Virus des Nationalismus und
