Die Dissertationsschrift gewährt erstmals einen tieferen Einblick in das inszenatorische Schaffen von Ursel und Karl-Ernst Herrmann. Mit ihren Mozartinterpretationen haben die Dramaturgin und der Bühnenbildner einen Bildkosmos erschaffen, der in seiner ästhetischen Gestaltung im Bereich des Musiktheaters seinesgleichen sucht. Die von ihnen über die vergangenen 35 Jahre entwickelte visuelle Dramaturgie wird in einem transdisziplinären Ansatz, der Kunstgeschichte, Philologie und Philosophie als Theaterhistoriografie verbindet, multiperspektivisch aufgefächert.
