englischThe personal copies of ‘Children’s and Household Tales’ by the Brothers Grimm, which are kept in Kassel, are part of UNESCO’s Memory of the World Programme and, thus, the globally recognised cultural memory. Moreover, there are storytelling traditions throughout the entire world, which makes them an ideal starting point for communication and understanding on an equal level. To this end, the pilot scheme ERZÄHL MIR DEINE GESCHICHTE/N (TELL ME YOUR STORY/-IES) has developed multifaceted teaching and artistic materials through a narrative approach which enables reciprocal storytelling that transcends language and cultural barriers. This publication presents that project and places it in the contexts of participation, education, World Heritage Education and cultural policy developments.
Die Kasseler persönlichen Exemplare der „Kinder- und Hausmärchen“ der Brüder Grimm gehören zum UNESCO-Weltdokumentenerbe und damit zum weltweit anerkannten kulturellen Gedächtnis. Erzähltraditionen gibt es zudem auf der ganzen Welt. Das macht sie zum idealen Ausgangspunkt für gleichberechtigte Verständigung. Durch einen Vermittlungsansatz, der das gegenseitige Erzählen über Sprach- und kulturelle Barrieren hinweg ermöglicht, hat das Modellprojekt ERZÄHL MIR DEINE GESCHICHTE/N für die Teilhabe von Geflüchteten und zivilgesellschaftliches Engagement auf Grundlage der „Kinder- und Hausmärchen“ der Brüder Grimm dafür vielseitige didaktische und künstlerische Arbeitsmaterialien entwickelt. Die Publikation reflektiert das Projekt und kontextualisiert es in den Themenfeldern von Teilhabe, Bildungsvermittlung, World Heritage Education sowie kulturpolitischen Entwicklungen.
