englischThis interdisciplinary volume focuses on the interdependence of narrative and architecture and includes different forms of narrating media in its analyses. The relation between narrative and architecture is examined primarily from two oppositional perspectives: The contributions include investigations of both the narrative representation and integration of architecture in literature and media as well as the way in which architects narrate in or about their works. In particular, the contributions highlight how directly both aspects refer to each other in terms of motifs, symbols, structure, semantics, etc. Questions about the aesthetics of materials and effects are dealt with as well as the representation and intention of narrated architecture.
