englischThis book aims at developing a differential understanding of the figure of the earth (Kūn) in the Yi Jing (Book of Changes) in critical contrast to the traditional interpretation of this sign. Its approach to Kūn is facilitated by a transversal reading, i.e. comparative use of phenomenological, ontological and deconstructive approaches. The book’s attempt to show the subversive potential of Kūn in the Yi Jing should not only be understood as a basis for a new approach to the ‘changes’, but is also intended to contribute to the design of an ethos of the non-manipulable and a phenomenology of the earth based on it.
Das vorliegende Buch zielt auf die Entfaltung eines differenzialistischen Verständnisses der Gestalt der Erde (Kūn) im Yijing (Buch der Wandlungen) in kritischer Abgrenzung zu der Auslegung dieses Zeichens in den traditionellen Überlieferungen. Die Annäherung an Kūn erfolgt durch eine transversale Lesart, d.h. eines komparativen Gebrauchs von phänomenologischen, ontologischen und dekonstruktiven Denkansätzen. Der Versuch, das subversive Potential von Kūn im Yijing zur Geltung zu bringen, versteht sich nicht nur als Basis für einen Neuzugang zu den ›Wandlungen‹, sondern soll zugleich zu dem Entwurf eines Ethos des Unverfügbaren und einer darauf basierenden Phänomenologie der Erde beitragen.
