englischIs a society 'as if God existed' better? Combining a cybernetic problem analysis with Kołakowski's thought, this study first presents his diagnoses of the contemporary crisis as closely related to the crisis of the sacred. This conclusion is then generalised through an in-depth analysis of the relationship between the form of society and its religion. Finally, the theoretical framework allows for a better understanding of recent history and provides new insights into the present: the current political and ecclesiastical situation and the sacral dimension of the development of AI. It sheds new light on the work of Kołakowski himself and, through him, on the work of Charles Taylor.
Ist die Gesellschaft „als ob es Gott gäbe“ besser? Diese Studie kombiniert eine kybernetische Problemanalyse mit Kołakowskis Denken und stellt zunächst seine Diagnose der gegenwärtigen Krise dar, die eng mit der Krise des Heiligen verbunden ist. Diese Schlussfolgerung wird dann durch eine eingehende Analyse der Beziehung zwischen der Form der Gesellschaft und ihrer Religion verallgemeinert. Der theoretische Rahmen ermöglicht schließlich ein besseres Verständnis der jüngsten Geschichte und neue Einsichten in die Gegenwart: die aktuelle politische und kirchliche Situation, die sakrale Dimension der Entwicklung der KI. Er wirft ein neues Licht auf das Werk von Kołakowski selbst und durch ihn auf das von Charles Taylor.
