englischThe book offers up-to-date and complete coverage of all legal peculiarities of the employment and appointment of in-house occupational physicians under German labour law and occupational safety law. In particular, the dual legal relationship between occupational physician and employer is examined with regard to all its interdependencies.

At the same time, the book provides insight into employment protection laws that must be observed by employers of occupational doctors. Finally, the involvement of the works council is also highlighted, both in the context of the daily cooperation between works council and occupational doctor and also with regard to the works council's co-determination rights concerning appointment, dismissal and also, indirectly, the termination of the occupational doctor's employment.
