englischEcclesiastical working relationships and social partnerships are facing socio-economic and normative aporias. In this interdisciplinary study, Christian Geyer demonstrates that both a different ethical orientation and appropriate forms of organisation are necessary to ensure that these systems’ true elements remain in place. Inspired by the Christian ethos of freedom, love and justice, the author reconstructs companies and individuals as citizens who shape working relationships in multirational communication processes. The democratic and societal ethos he uses has repercussions on companies and the political order, which he delineates in a topology of hybrid forms of organisation and their statutory protection. Geyer interprets this secularisation and politicisation of working relationships in deaconry as a paradoxical attempt to raise diaconal profiles, which not only gives theologists and sociologists, but also scholars and practitioners of the law a great deal of food for thought.
