This is a major step on the way towards a unified civil code, which goes back to the beginning of the 20th century. Am 1.1.2021 trat das am 28.05.2020 verabschiedete neue Zivilgesetzbuch der Volksrepublik China (ZGB) in Kraft. Dies stellt einen bedeutenden Schritt auf dem bis zum Beginn des 20. Jh. in die Qing-Dynastie zurückreichenden Weg hin zu einem einheitlichen Zivilgesetzbuch dar. Dieser Band stellt dank der Expertise namhafter deutschen und chinesischen Autorinnen und Autoren eine Auswahl von Neuregelungen des besonderen Teils des chinesischen ZGB vor und wirft zugleich auch einen rechtsvergleichenden Blick auf die deutsche Rechtsordnung. Gleichzeitig ist dieses Werk auch Ausdruck der guten deutsch-chinesischen Forschungsbeziehungen.
