englischThe exponential growth of digitally accessible information and the new possibilities for processing it are a characteristic feature of our time. It requires an increasing examination of the question of how the legal community can manage the expected effects on our coexistence in a compatible way. In particular, it is necessary to normatively constrain the shift of computers into the role of social actors, whose decisions seem to be confusingly similar to those of humans. Criminal law with its highly personal legal consequences seems to be a particularly suitable means for this purpose. But can the traditional concept of perpetration, means of committing an offense, and violation of legal interests be transferred to the new challenges? Or is it necessary to adapt or even completely reorient our way of punishing?
