englischThe book illustrates the extent to which EU association agreements with Mediterranean third countries – influenced by dynamically changing EU migration policies – are moving away from their original, decisive goals at the time of their signing. Following on from this, and at the same time building on it, the study examines whether the types of association agreements as such are changing, considering the respective orientation and changes in EU migration policies.
Das Werk illustriert, inwieweit sich die EU-Assoziierungsabkommen mit mediterranen Drittstaaten – beeinflusst von den sich dynamisch wandelnden EU-Migrationspolitiken – von ihren ursprünglichen, im Zeitpunkt ihrer Unterzeichnung maßgebenden Zielen entfernen. Daran anknüpfend und zugleich darauf aufbauend untersucht die Arbeit unter Betrachtung der jeweiligen Ausrichtung und Veränderung der EU-Migrationspolitiken, ob sich die Arten der Assoziierungsabkommen als solche verändern.
