englischThe Services Directive’s objective is the creation of a single market for services within the EU. Bureaucratic requirements were regarded as major obstacles for cross-border trade so in the wake of the implementation of this directive several changes were made to administrative proceedings. The international colloquium in Augsburg focused on the implementation of the Services Directive in Italy and Germany. Besides administrative proceedings, the directive´s impact on private-law relations, certain professions as well as advantages for services providers and consumers were taken into consideration. The directive ´s consequences are extensive – but still do not unburden services providers in any case.
