englischThe work examines the applicability of human rights in general and the ECHR in particular in international and non-international armed conflicts. In this context, the paper analyses the existing case law of the ECtHR on the extraterritorial applicability of the ECHR. Special attention is also paid to the relationship of the ECHR to international humanitarian law and to the obligation of non-state actors to respect an ensure human rights, above all the ECHR.
