englischThe work at hand is the first to examine measures of pricing policy that lead to margin squeeze scenarios exploiting criterions of both symmetrical and asymmetrical competition regulation. European competition law and national postal law serve as specific points of reference. In the light of the interdependencies provided by this context, the author exhaustively explores which approach is best suited for determining a margin squeeze scenario. Citing the more pervasive character of postal regulation, he demonstrates that the applicability of different methods depends on the regulatory context at hand. As the margin squeeze is subject of fierce debates at the present time, it is expected that the relevance of this methodological discussion will gain further in the near future.
