englischThe book develops a proposal for an information and communication scheme regarding billing charging processes of electric vehicles at public charging stations that fits the current energy legal framework to the best possible extent. Among others access claim of third suppliers, the changing role model as well as requirements of measurement law for the configuration of metering systems in public charging stations are investigated. Likewise the requests to communication infrastructure in the back-end are analyzed in accordance to the present market processes and the sectoral data protection legislation.

The book shows the legal challenges, which arise due to integration of public charging systems and the related transformation of the previous “stationary” energy market towards a market with “mobile” consumers, and develops both practical ways of implementation and possible solutions from a legislative point of view.
