englischThe 4th “Dialog Internationales Familienrecht“ was held in Marburg in April 2022 under the title “Europe as a Pace-setter for International Family Law”. Representatives from academia and practice dealt with current issues of international family law and family procedure. The main focus was on the new Brussels IIb Regulation and on cross-border property settlements in marriage and cohabitation.

This volume brings together the papers presented at the conference. Among other topics, it deals with innovations in the Brussels IIb Regulation, the Charter of Fundamental Rights, cross-border property settlements outside of matrimonial property law and the consequences of Brexit. The volume is rounded off by an overview of the current case law of the German Federal High Court on international family law.
