englischWith 2015 being the year with the highest number of refugees coming to the Federal Republic of Germany since its founding, the protection of refugees has been a central issue of the political debate since. But how should forced migration be dealt with? What are the possibilities to regulate or limit it? Which challenges arise in relation to the integration of refugees?

This book deals with the international, European Union and constitutional legal principles on forced migration. It discusses the main political questions regarding the protection of refugees as well as possibilities and – most notably – limits of regulating forced migration within this legal framework. For this purpose, it outlines the main legal measures on national and European level taken in 2015/2016. The book also covers an analysis of intelligent, *well designed* rules of integration law which aim at coping with the challenges in terms of integration state and society are facing.
