englischCriminal law is characterized by different schools, which have influenced the development of law to a great extent. Criminal law institutes that we encounter today are usually at the (preliminary) end of a broad discussion and often have quite different views on the criminal law system itself. For the observer, the classification of these backgrounds is usually difficult due to a lack of disclosure. The conference on "Fundamentals and Concepts of Criminal Law" aimed to facilitate access to criminal law scholarship in this respect. In addition to the papers presented by the speakers on those texts to which a formative role is ascribed, the volume also contains the intensive discussions that followed.
