englischIn large industry projects the general contractor faces substantial organizational risks. The organizational problem increases because of the special legal relationship between the non contractual connected subcontractors and the direct liability between them. A solution to this problem can be provided by a suitable coordination of the general contractor. The law has a lack of exclusive legal regulations. However the contract law offers suitable options to regulate the coordination by the general contractor. Besides the classic contract law also other contractual models such as partnering, alliancing and network models play a key role for a solution finding.
