This conference volume presents instruments from the international toolbox of criminal law against corruption that are largely unknown in Germany and examines the question of whether they should be adopted in German criminal law. The possibility of a general criminal offense of corruption, abuse of office, illicit enrichment, trading in influence (influence peddling) and concussion (extortive bribery), as well as the instrument of non-conviction-based confiscation and approaches under international criminal law are examined.

Lässt sich das deutsche Korruptionsstrafrecht durch neue Regelungsmodelle verbessern? Dieser Tagungsband stellt hierzulande weitgehend unbekannten Instrumente aus dem internationalen Werkzeugkasten der strafrechtlichen Korruptionsbekämpfung vor und geht der Frage nach, ob deren Übernahme ins deutsche Strafrecht angezeigt ist. Untersucht werden die Möglichkeit eines allgemeinen Korruptionsstraftatbestands, Tatbestände des Amtsmissbrauchs, das Delikt der unerlaubten Bereicherung (illicit enrichment), die missbräuchliche Einflussnahme (verbotene Intervention) und Regelungen zur Bedrückungskorruption (Concussion), ferner das Einziehungsinstrument der Non-conviction-based confiscation sowie völkerstrafrechtliche Ansätze.
