englischArtificial intelligence influences and changes all areas of social and economic life and consequently raises numerous legal questions regarding the liability for artificial intelligence. The examination of civil liability forms the basis for establishing a generell assesment of the legal framework. The examination of the interplay between antitrust law and artificial intelligence is of particular importance, since artificial intelligence is used in different markets to develop and pursue competitive strategies. Therefore the main focus of this study is to answer the question of whether and to what extent the liability framework in civil law and antitrust law is adequately tailored to the risk potential of artificial intelligence or if it needs to be adapted.
