englischHow do television, radio, daily newspapers and the internet hold their own in competition with one another? What role do sound recordings, videos, magazines and books play in everyday life? And how have people’s use of the media and their attitudes to it changed over time? ARD and ZDF’s long-term study on mass communication depicts the changes that have occurred in the media in Germany over the last fifty years and is therefore unique.

This book documents the findings of the 2015 study using a representative sample of 4,300 people aged fourteen and over, and analyses long-term trends. It therefore supplements the results of the preceding studies, which are published in all but the first of the series of publications entitled “Media Perspektiven”.
