englischThe question of women's human rights worldwide represents a critical key point in the discourse on gender and culture, which is addressed in this book from an ethical perspective. This interdisciplinary and culturally sensitive study systematically explores the topic of women's human rights from a global perspective, analysing gender-specific aspects of human rights violations and discussing philosophical, socio-theoretical and socio-ethical perspectives. The structural and symbolic realisation of gender justice is presented in this study as an approach to sustainably protecting women's human rights.

Die Frage nach den Menschenrechten von Frauen weltweit stellt in den – auch gesellschaftlich virulenten - Diskursen um Geschlecht und Kultur einen diffizilen Schlüsselpunkt dar, der in dieser Studie unter ethischen Gesichtspunkten bearbeitet wird. Dabei erschließt die interdisziplinär und kultursensibel angelegte Studie das Themenfeld der Menschenrechte von Frauen systematisch aus einer globalen Perspektive. Geschlechtsspezifika von Menschenrechtsverletzungen werden analysiert; philosophische, gesellschaftstheoretische und sozialethische Perspektiven diskutiert. Die strukturelle und symbolische Verwirklichung von Geschlechtergerechtigkeit wird in dieser Studie als Ansatz vorgestellt, um Menschenrechte von Frauen nachhaltig zu schützen.
