englischMigration movements continue to increase worldwide and there is much to suggest that the phenomena and processes of migration and integration and the processes of change associated with them as well as increasing ethnic and cultural diversity will have a lasting impact on Germany’s migration society, its specialist policy debates and on the practice of social work. Against this background, this introductory work addresses the following questions relating to complex subject areas in this regard: What is the current situation? What is integration? What methods does social work have at its disposal in this context? What are the philosophical anchors and the legal framework in this respect? What are the challenges for social work?
Migrationsbewegungen nehmen weltweit weiter zu und vieles spricht dafür, dass Phänomene und Prozesse der Migration und Integration und die damit einhergehenden Wandlungsprozesse sowie eine zunehmende ethnisch-kulturelle Vielfalt die deutsche Migrationsgesellschaft, ihre fachpolitischen Debatten, aber auch die Praxis der Sozialen Arbeit dauerhaft prägen werden. Vor diesem Hintergrund geht die vorliegende Einführung mitunter auf folgende Fragen der komplexen Themengebiete ein: Wie ist die gegenwärtige Situation? Was ist Integration? Welche Methoden hat dabei die Soziale Arbeit? Was sind die philosophischen Verankerungen und die rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen? Welche Herausforderungen ergeben sich für die Soziale Arbeit?
