englischMore university autonomy is not a significant issue in the "major" amendment to the Brandenburg Higher Education Law. The draft bill, which is the subject of a conference volume, contains not only fundamentally welcome innovations, but also a majority of state-imposed "control density", some of which is legally problematic and should be critically questioned. The presentation is based on a university symposium in Cottbus. At the same time, the speakers' statements prove that the Brandenburg legislature is not primarily concerned with expanding university autonomy, but rather with "enforcing" certain university policy concerns.
