In doing so, it adopts both a historical and a political science perspective.
This volume addresses the quintessential thematic foci which are of vital importance with regard to Europeans living together, in particular the relationship between the European Union and its Member States, its current policy on migration and asylum, and the role of Islam as a part of Europe.
