His concept of ‘social’ is not something concrete or clearly defined (e.g. the state, the masses, etc.), but is purely about being part of society in singular plurality; thus, politics is subordinate to that social concept. In this respect, the state and its policies no longer represent a higher authority.

Dieses Soziale ist kein bestimmtes Etwas (etwa Staat, Volk o.ä.), sondern es ist reines Mit-Sein in singulärer Pluralität; diesem Sozialen ist das Politische nachgeordnet. Insofern geben auch der Staat und staatliche Politik keine übergeordnete Instanz mehr ab.
