englischIn a heuristic sense, the term 'political realism' can be understood as a theoretical position that contests the possible foundations of political order on the basis of timeless principles, ideals and norms. Instead, the paradigm of 'political realism' seeks to develop the genesis of governance and sovereignty from inner-historical or anthropologically founded power dynamics. This anthology contains contributions that, arguing systematically and historically, demarcate political realism from the leading fundamental positions of classical and modern political philosophy.

In heuristischer Absicht kann unter dem Begriff des „politischen Realismus“ eine theoretische Position verstanden werden, welche die mögliche Grundlegung politischer Ordnung aus und anhand überzeitlich gültiger Prinzipien, Ideale und Normen bestreitet. Das Paradigma des „politischen Realismus“ sucht stattdessen die Genese von Herrschaft und Souveränität aus innergeschichtlich zu Tage tretenden oder anthropologisch fundierten Machtdynamiken zu erschließen. Der Sammelband beinhaltet systematisch und historisch argumentierende Beiträge, die eine Abgrenzung des politischen Realismus gegenüber leitenden Grundstellungen der klassischen und der modernen politischen Philosophie vornehmen.
