englischThis book covers one of the first studies on the interdependency of biographical experiences and processes and teaching the subject of Judaism. Religious education gives teachers a platform to incorporate interpretative patterns based on the current syllabus, without having the option to regulate this process. The qualitative survey this book presents focuses on this process, questioning which forces motivate it and what impact they can have. By means of biographical case reconstruction, narrative biographical interviews with teachers were analysed in terms of interpretative patterns and biographical processes and integrated into a school context. The complexity of the challenges faced by teachers becomes apparent when the syllabus comes into play, and provides further avenues of research and indicates possible courses of action for decision makers.

»gut soziologisch-theoretisch reflektierte und fundierte Analysen.«
