englischFor some years now the concept of „moral courage“ is becoming more popular: the term is often found in newspaper headlines and people are awarded for moral courage. The popularity has meanwhile contributed to the implementation of projects under this catch phrase. The authoress examines moral courage from a criminological, social psychological and juridical point of view. By analysing a civil courage project in the range of public transport, she gives answers to the interesting question whether civil courage is learnable and what it is influenced by. According to current research she discusses what additional value civil courage has for the prevention of crime.
