englischThe private everyday world of humans is increasingly penetrated by smart systems of the Internet of Things. Based on this, the study examines the central areas of criminal law with regard to the protection of private users of smart systems – criminal product law on the one hand and computer and data protection criminal law on the other. These legal areas of "smart criminal law" are analyzed in detail and systematically with regard to their suitability for user protection, and any difficulties uncovered in the process are each presented with concrete solutions that are consistent with European and constitutional requirements. In addition, important points of contact and interaction between these areas of law in user protection are elaborated.
