englischSmart personal assistants are a specific form of context-sensitive applications.

This thesis examines, firstly, the fundamental rights and legal requirements that are relevant to smart personal assistants, as well as the legal issues arising in connection with smart personal assistants, particularly in light of the "Europeanization of data protection law" and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in effect since 2018. Based on the identification of the legal framework, the second part of the thesis develops goals and exemplary proposals for the legally compliant design of smart personal assistants, taking into account the relationship with other design objectives, such as service quality.
