englischThe book deals with the possibility to require access providers to block infringing internet offers, which is stipulated in the EU by directives. However, with the 3rd TMGÄndG (Telemedia Act Amendment Act), the German legislator abolished the only national legal basis for claims against access providers and only created a new basis for claims for WiFi providers. Approaches to avert the illegality of the German law under EU law are examined. The preferable approach is compared with English and Australian law, both of which have years of practical experience. The comparison reveals problems in the emerging application in German law.
