englischChallenges and characteristics of standardised contracts in the digital age. This conference volume discusses standardised – also electronic – contracts from different perspectives while keeping in mind Spanish, German and European law.

Since the onset of the digital revolution, standardised contracts, especially in the form of electronic contracts, have become usual in business transactions. Not only the conclusion of the contract itself, but also the initiation, execution and cancellation of contracts are becoming increasingly standardised. In cross-border transactions, this trend challenges both national and European law.

In this conference volume, jurists from overall 10 Spanish and German legal faculties discuss the challenges of standardised contracts from a Spanish, German and European perspective. Experiences are exchanged and the implementation of European standards is compared.
