englischThe author analyzes the impacts of income distribution on mobility behavior in Europe. Based on observations in European mobility surveys the significance of income is quantified and implemented in the macroeconomic, transport and environmental System Dynamics model ASTRA. An income distribution model is added simulating the allocation of the population into five characteristic income groups. Together with other socio-economic drivers the ASTRA model is able to simulate the trip-making behavior in Europe followed by the trip distribution and modal split. An impact assessment of transport policy scenarios for EU27 countries concludes the work and demonstrates the model capabilities.
